Women Marwari

Practical skills, dignity, and opportunity for women.

The story

A practical beginning, a continuing vision

While serving communities in Interior Sindh, a Marwari sister named Nusrat, who was working alongside the ministry, suggested opening a sewing center. She wanted women and girls to learn practical skills that could help them support themselves and become more independent.

The ministry account records that the first center began around 2018-2019 with five sewing machines. What started as one local initiative has since grown into three sewing centers, where women and girls can develop sewing and other practical skills.

The work is rooted in the dignity and potential of each woman. Alongside vocational learning, the centers also offer opportunities to learn about the Christian faith.
